Reading Diary A Week 6: Indian Fairy Tales

If there was ever a story about putting the cart before the horse, the story of the broken pot is it! As I was reading the story, I felt as though this man was getting a little too excited about his bowl of rice. Then it ended up breaking! I understand the importance of having a plan for your life, but we all know that 5 and 10 year plans don't always work out like you want them to! Plus, 100 rupees would not have bought him a couple of goats. So, that's when I knew it was a fairy tale!

And then I got to the story of the Tiger, the Brahman, and the Jackal. Wow! That one had me laughing at the end. The part for the jackal was written SO WELL! I think I would like to rewrite this story, from the point of view of the tiger. I think that would be fun to tell from the villain's point of view!
