UnTextbook Online Reading Options

The computer that I used to look through the different online reading options was my Macbook Pro. The browser that I used for the online options was Chrome, and my PDF reader was also used in my browser. I think I like the PDF option the best. All of the other options look relatively the same, and seem to take longer to load on my computer than the PDF does.

If I do reading online, it is either in the Kindle reading app, or Copia. Kindle is definitely my favorite, because of the amount you can personalize your reading space. The books I read on the kindle app are normally books that are for fun, but I also have been able to read some short books for class on there. Generally, I can get books on the kindle app cheaper than any other online service.

If I take notes for my reading, I normally use EverNote. This allows me to access my notes on any cloud-connected device, as well as edit them across devices as well. So, I always have my notes with me if I need to review on the way to class, or when I don't have my laptop on me. For PDF's I normally do the same. I hate having to scroll back through books, so if I find anything interesting I normally just quote it in my notes.

I never print hard copies of articles on my own volition. The only time I have hard copies is if it is necessary, or if the professor provides it. It is just too expensive on campus to waste the free prints that I get by printing out readings I have access to on the internet.

If I have the option between online and hard copy, and it is an actual book, it normally just depends on the price difference. But, I always have a preference towards actual books. There's something relaxing about having an actual book to hold in your hands, and I feel like I always get more out of it!
